Ann Kellan

Ann Kellan is a science correspondent for CNN. She contributes regular

reports to Next@CNN, a one-hour weekly  magazine-format program

covering science, technology, space, aviation and environmental current events.

 

 

Previously, Kellan was host for CNN's Science & Technology Week,

a weekly newsmagazine about the leading scientific and technological

 developments. She joined CNN in 1993 as a freelance reporter.

 

Nominated for two Emmy awards, Kellan was honored with awards from

the American Cancer Society for a series on children; the Maryland Speech,

Language and Hearing Association for her reporting on hearing-related stories;

and Sigma Delta Chi for feature reporting.

 

 

Kellan began her broadcasting career at WHAM Radio and WOKR-TV in

Rochester, N.Y. From 1981-1985, she worked in Providence, R.I., as a

medical reporter for WPRI-TV. She also worked at WJZ-TV in Baltimore

as the station's "Healthwatch" reporter and noon anchor.

 

 

Kellan earned a bachelor's degree in speech communication from of the University of Virginia.
